DenwaysMeet, Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams: Video conferencing software compared.

Participants, time limits, price per seat and guest access, from each vendor's own pages. Checked on 2 November 2026.

The short answer

DenwaysMeet puts meetings, voice rooms, chat and tasks in one workspace, on every plan, with guest links that need no account.

DenwaysMeet's Free plan allows 5 participants for 25 minutes, and Starter allows 25 participants for 3 hours at $12 a seat a month. Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams allow larger, longer meetings: 100 participants for 40 to 60 minutes on free plans, and 100 to 300 participants for 24 to 30 hours on first paid plans.

We make DenwaysMeet, so check the rival columns against the vendors' own pages, listed below.

Read on each vendor's own pages on 2 November 2026. DenwaysMeet's figures are the defaults in its plan table. Limits can be changed for an organization.

Prices are not converted, and vendors set them by country, so yours may differ. Our check ran from India: Zoom defaulted to rupees and we chose its US dollar option, Google's page showed rupees only, and Microsoft's US page shows dollars. Zoom and Google state their prices exclude tax. Google was also showing lower introductory prices to new customers, which are not counted here.

Which to choose

Which video conferencing software should you choose?

The right choice depends on what you already run. These are the cases the facts above support.

  • DenwaysMeet, if voice rooms and chat belong together

Every plan includes chat, meetings and tasks, with voice rooms people can walk into without scheduling and guest links that need no account. Plan on Starter or above if you meet in groups larger than 5 or for longer than 25 minutes.

  • Zoom, if meetings run long or very large

Its paid plans list 30 hours per meeting, Workplace Business lists 300 participants, and the Large Meeting add-on goes up to 5,000. Its free plan stops at 40 minutes.

  • Google Meet, if you want it with Gmail and Docs

Workspace plans include Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Drive and Docs. Google says Meet joins from a computer browser with no software install, and a Google Account gets 60 minutes at no cost.

  • Microsoft Teams, if you already run on Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 business plans are sold in a version with Teams. If you mainly need meetings, Teams Essentials lists $4 a user a month, paid yearly, for 300 participants and 30 hours.
