Rich Messages: Embeds, Buttons & Polls: Bot-style messages, without a bot

Embeds, buttons, and polls built natively into the composer - the kind of messages you’d normally need to set up a bot for, in a `/command` instead.

Build a rich message in seconds

Type `/` in any composer to see the commands you have permission for. `/embed` opens a title/description/image/field composer with a live preview; `/button` adds up to 5 buttons (including one that opens a support ticket); `/poll` adds a question with 2-10 options and an optional expiry.

  • `/embed` - title, description, image, and up to 25 fields
  • `/button` - up to 5 buttons per message, including a support-ticket action
  • `/poll` - 2-10 options, optional expiry, one vote per person
  • A single message can carry text, an embed, and buttons together

Permission-gated, like everything else

Embeds and buttons are gated by a permission your organization controls. Managers, Admins and the Owner have it by default, and you can grant it to any other role. A space, category or room can override it, and a deny always wins.

Do embeds, buttons and polls need a bot?

No. All three are built into the composer, so there is no bot to set up. Type / to see the commands you have permission to use. A poll takes a question, 2 to 10 options and an optional expiry, and each person gets one vote.

How can a button open a support ticket?

One button action opens a support ticket. Post that button, and anyone who clicks it gets a private room with your support team. The room is created under a category you choose, and your welcome message posts in it.
