Audit Log for Team Chat & Meetings: A complete record of what changed, and who changed it
A searchable history of moderation and configuration changes on the DenwaysMeet Business, Enterprise and Education plans: who did what, and when.
What does the audit log record?
Role changes, permission overrides, bans, moderation actions and changes to rooms, spaces or categories all land in the log. It happens automatically, with nothing to turn on or configure.
- Searchable by member, action, and date
- Visible to anyone with permission to manage the organization
- Kept alongside your other organization settings, not a separate add-on
Which plans include the audit log?
The audit log is on Business, Enterprise and Education. Free and Starter don’t include it. Business is the plan for teams of up to 250 members, and it is the first one with the log.
Who can see the audit log?
Anyone with permission to manage the organization. That permission belongs to roles, so you decide which roles get it, and a custom role can be given it too. The Owner always keeps every permission.
Why does the log matter for permissions?
Permissions are enforced on the server, so an override takes effect at once: when a role loses access to a room, the room leaves those members’ sidebars. The log is where you see who made that change and when.
How do you find one change?
Search the log by member, action or date. If a room’s access changed, for example, the log shows the override and who made it. Anyone with permission to manage the organization can look.
