The DenwaysHR editorial method: How our guides
are written and checked.
Who writes the DenwaysHR guides and comparison pages, the sources they are read from, what the dates mean and how to report a mistake to info@denways.com.

The short answer
Denways Technologies LLP writes the DenwaysHR guides and comparison pages. Each one is read against the law, official government pages or the vendor's own site, and lists those pages under the article with the date of its last change. No named external reviewer has checked them, and they are not legal advice. Corrections go to info@denways.com.
A guide is only useful if you can see where it came from. This is where ours come from, and what to do if you find a mistake.

Who writes the guides?
Denways Technologies LLP, the company that makes DenwaysHR. The byline names the company. No named external reviewer has checked the guides or the comparison pages, and they are not legal advice. For a decision that carries legal risk, ask your adviser.
Which sources do we use?
- The law itself where it can be opened, such as Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 on the UAE Legislation portal, whose English text the portal describes as unofficial
- Government pages, such as the UAE Government portal, for rules set out in ministerial resolutions
- The free zones' own texts for DIFC and ADGM
- For other software, the vendor's own website, help centre or app store listing, never reviews, listicles or another vendor's comparison page
- For DenwaysHR, the product itself
- Commentary only to flag a disagreement over how a rule is read, and named where it is cited
Each article lists its pages under Sources. Software explainers that state little law may not have that list. The terms they use are defined in the HR and payroll glossary.
How is a page checked?
- Statements are read against the pages listed under the article
- Worked figures use the same conventions as our calculators: a day's pay is monthly salary ÷ 30, and an hour's is that ÷ 8
- Where official sources disagree, the article says so and says which one it follows
- Where a text could not be opened, the article says so or leaves the figure out
- Comparison pages make the case for DenwaysHR, our own product. Every line about another product is read on that vendor's own pages, and the date of that reading is printed on the page
What does that look like in the guides?
These rules shape what the guides say and what they leave out. Some examples from the current articles:
- A disagreement stated, not settled: on contract types, Article 8 as now shown on the UAE Legislation portal sets no maximum term, while the 2021 English text and a u.ae page still say three years. The guide prints both and tells you to check what MOHRE's contract form accepts
- Texts we could not open: the late-salary guide takes Ministerial Resolution 340 of 2026 from the u.ae summary. It says it could not open Ministerial Resolution 209 of 2022, which that summary names for the move into the Third Category, and that Cabinet Resolution 21 of 2020 was not read, so the fine it sets has no figure
- A list left out: Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022 could not be opened on the day the overtime guide was written, so the people Article 20 excludes are not restated there
- Translations named as such: the English text of the UAE law is not an official translation, and the guides say so where they cite it; the Qatar guide cites Al Meezan's Arabic texts
- One convention for every worked example: a 30-day month, so a day's pay is monthly salary ÷ 30, as Article 67 sets it, matching the calculators
How are lines about DenwaysHR checked?
Against the product itself. The DenwaysHR row in the payroll comparison guide was read from our product code on 2 November 2026, and the module and feature counts come from the same catalogue as the features page. Where DenwaysHR does not do something an article describes, the article says so: Saudi and Qatari payroll are not built yet, and the Saudi Arabia and Qatar pages say so.
Lines about other products are kept in one file and read on each vendor's own pages: Bayzat, Zoho and greytHR on 29 October 2026, ZenHR and Darwinbox on 30 October. Each comparison page lists the pages it was read from and prints that date in its table caption.
What do the dates mean?
"Updated" is the last day the article's text changed. The sitemap and the page's structured data carry the same date. "Published" appears where the first publication date is on record. Laws, portals and prices can change after that day, so check the source before you act on a figure.
How do you report a mistake?
Write to info@denways.com with the page and the line. If you are a vendor and a line about your product is out of date, the same address applies. When we correct an article, its updated date moves.
The same rules run in the product: WPS files, gratuity and final settlements on one employee record.
See UAE payrollSources
- UAE Legislation portal: Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021
- UAE Government portal: Employment in the private sector
- ADGM rulebook: Employment Regulations 2024
Official pages, as they stood on the date above. The law is the authority; check it, or ask your adviser, before acting on a figure.
