Qatar.
What DenwaysHR does for a Qatari employer today: Qatar ID records, attendance, the six-hour Ramadan day, rosters, leave and approvals. Qatar's WPS salary file is not built yet, and this page says exactly where that line is.

Qatar ID and the permits behind it
A Qatar ID, a passport, a residence permit and a contract each expire on their own date, and a lapsed permit means a person who cannot lawfully work. In DenwaysHR they sit on the employee record, and a check every morning tells HR and the employee before one runs out.
- Qatar ID and passport numbers on the employee record, format-checked and encrypted
- Residence permits and contracts stored with their expiry dates
- Alerts to HR and the employee at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days
- Probation end dates, which Qatar caps at six months, flagged before they pass

Eight hours a day, six in Ramadan
Qatar's working day is eight hours and its week 48, falling to six hours a day and 36 a week in Ramadan. A dated rule in DenwaysHR shortens the day on those dates, so overtime is counted from the end of the shorter day and nobody shows up as short.
- A Ramadan rule from eight hours to six, on its own dates
- Weekly rosters, rest days and shift swaps
- Overtime requests approved before they reach the month's export
- Attendance by phone with location, web page or biometric terminal

Leave that waits for service
Paid sick leave in Qatar starts after three months' service: two weeks on full pay, four on half. Annual leave is three weeks until five years' service and four after. A leave type in DenwaysHR can wait for a minimum length of service, so the three-month gate runs by itself.
- Sick leave held back until three months' service
- Annual leave of three weeks set as a leave type
- The step to four weeks at five years is not automatic yet
- Gratuity checked in the free calculator: at least three weeks' basic per year

Where payroll stands for Qatar
Qatari wages are paid in riyals through a bank in Qatar and reported to the Ministry of Labour with a salary information file. DenwaysHR does not produce that file, so the month's wages stay in the payroll you run today.
- Attendance, leave and overtime export as CSV for the payroll you already run
- Workspaces are set up on the UAE model today, so some fields are UAE-shaped
- A UAE entity in the same account gets full payroll now
- This page will change the day Qatari payroll ships

What runs by itself in Qatar?
The hours, leave and permits a Qatari HR team checks every week, kept by the system instead of a spreadsheet.

Does DenwaysHR run Qatari payroll?
DenwaysHR does not run Qatari payroll yet. Qatar's own WPS salary file is not built, so a month's riyal payroll stays in the system you run today. Qatari teams can use DenwaysHR for employee records, attendance, rosters, leave and approvals, then export attendance and leave into that payroll. The full FAQ covers timing and running a UAE entity beside a Qatari one.
Can it apply Qatar's six-hour Ramadan day?
Yes. HR sets a dated rule that takes two hours off the eight-hour day for the month, for everyone or for the people HR lists. On those dates overtime starts after six hours and the weekly limit falls from 48 hours to 36, which matches Qatar's Ramadan hours.
Can we store Qatar ID details?
Yes. Qatar ID and passport numbers are held on the employee record with their proof documents. The number is checked against the expected format as it is typed, stored encrypted and masked for anyone below HR.
How is end-of-service calculated in Qatar?
A minimum of three weeks of basic wage for each year of service, after one continuous year. An employment contract may provide more than that, never less. Our free calculator applies the minimum and shows the working.
Does sick leave wait for three months' service?
Yes, if you set it to. Any leave type in DenwaysHR can require a minimum length of service, counted from the joining date, before an employee can use it. The step in annual leave from three weeks to four at five years is not applied by itself yet, so that one still needs HR.
How long can probation run in Qatar?
Qatar caps probation at six months. DenwaysHR holds the end date on the employee record and flags it before it passes, alongside the Qatar ID, residence permit and contract dates.
How are Qatari wages paid and reported?
In riyals, through a bank in Qatar, and reported to the Ministry of Labour with a salary information file. DenwaysHR does not produce that file; attendance, leave and overtime export as CSV for your payroll.
