HRMS software for teams in
Saudi Arabia.
What DenwaysHR does for a Saudi employer today: Iqama and contract records, attendance, Ramadan hours, rosters, leave and approvals. Mudad wage files and GOSI are not built yet, and this page says exactly where that line is.

Available for Saudi teams today, payroll aside

An unwritten term runs for one year
A Saudi contract with an expatriate is fixed-term, and where no term is written Article 37 now treats it as one year from the day work began, renewed for the same period if the work carries on. The work permit still has its own expiry date, which makes it a field on the record, not a date in someone's calendar.
- Iqama and passport numbers on the employee record, format-checked as they are typed and encrypted
- Work permits and contracts stored with their expiry dates
- Alerts to HR and the employee at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before one runs out
- Fixed-term contracts flagged for renewal

Ramadan hours, for everyone or for the people HR names
Saudi hours are eight a day or 48 a week, and six a day in Ramadan. The law frames the shorter day for Muslim employees; many employers give it to everyone. A dated rule in DenwaysHR does either, and overtime then starts where the shorter day ends.
- A Ramadan rule with its own start and end dates
- Applies to everyone, or to a list HR keeps: the product records no one's religion
- The weekly limit falls with the day, from 48 hours to 36
- Weekly rosters, shift swaps and attendance by phone, web or biometric terminal

End of service on the full wage, checked first
Saudi end-of-service benefit is half a month's wage for each of the first five years and a full month after that, on the last wage including allowances, and reduced when an employee resigns with under ten years' service. The free calculator applies that rule and shows each step.
- Resignation scale applied: nothing under two years, a third, two thirds, then the full award
- Shows the working, line by line, with no sign-up
- Annual leave of 21 days is set as a leave type; the step to 30 days at five years is not automatic yet
- Inside the product, the settlement follows the UAE formula for now

Where payroll stands for Saudi Arabia
Mudad checks the salary an employer declares against the contract registered on Qiwa and the wage declared to GOSI. DenwaysHR does not produce Mudad files or GOSI contributions. Its payroll is complete for the UAE only, and we would sooner say so here than in a demo.
- Attendance, leave and overtime export as CSV for the payroll you already run
- Workspaces are set up on the UAE model today, so some fields are UAE-shaped
- A UAE entity in the same account gets full payroll now
- This page will change the day Saudi payroll ships

Does DenwaysHR run Saudi payroll?
DenwaysHR does not run Saudi payroll yet. Mudad wage files and GOSI contributions are not built, and the monthly run that produces a salary file is UAE only. Saudi teams can use DenwaysHR for employee records, attendance, rosters, leave and approvals, and export the month's figures for their payroll. For a product that has Saudi payroll today, see DenwaysHR vs ZenHR. The full FAQ covers timing and running a UAE entity beside a Saudi one.
Can it shorten working hours in Ramadan?
Yes. HR sets a dated rule that takes hours off the working day, for example from eight to six. It can cover everyone or only the people HR lists, since DenwaysHR does not record anyone's religion. On those dates overtime starts after the shorter day and the weekly limit falls in proportion, from 48 hours to 36.
Can we store Iqama details?
Yes. Iqama and passport numbers are held on the employee record with their proof documents. The number is checked against the expected format as it is typed, stored encrypted and masked for anyone below HR.
How is end-of-service calculated in Saudi Arabia?
Half a month's wage for each of the first five years and one month's wage for each year after, calculated on the last wage including allowances. On resignation it is reduced: nothing under two years of service, one third from two to five years, two thirds from five to ten, and the full amount at ten years or more. Our free calculator applies those rules and shows the working.
Does annual leave step up to 30 days after five years?
DenwaysHR does not make that step by itself yet. A leave type in DenwaysHR has one annual quota and can wait for a minimum length of service before it is used, but the quota does not change on an employee's fifth anniversary. Saudi law raises annual leave from 21 to 30 days at five years' service with the same employer, so that step still needs HR.
How long does a Saudi contract run if no term is written?
A Saudi contract with an expatriate is fixed-term, and where no term is written Article 37 now treats it as one year from the day work began, renewed for the same period if the work carries on. The work permit keeps its own expiry date. In DenwaysHR both are stored with their dates, with alerts at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days and fixed-term contracts flagged for renewal.
What does Mudad check an employer's salary against?
The contract registered on Qiwa and the wage declared to GOSI. DenwaysHR produces neither the Mudad file nor the GOSI contributions; attendance, leave and overtime export as CSV for the payroll you already run.
